    Check the formula for "Terminal Velocity" in atmosphere on Wikipedia. Body mass (don't confuse with acceleration!), shape and position, arching in the flat one, clothes, altitude, lead belt... Even when belly to earth you can slow down or accelerate at least 20 mph from your average speed.
