Ed Miller, CEO of Cubicvue, demos a patent-pending color filter barrier pattern that creates a 3D effect without the use of special glasses. The lens may be layered over existing screens as an attachment or may be embedded in existing screens. He uses a Sony PSP as an example. They are currently working with partners to release with OEM's or as aftermarket accessories soon.

the only problem is that I'm not convinced that this vid is real.. But I've seen enough "real" footage about something that looks like this but than for TV's.

-_- what did the guy in the vid do? he put a screen that has been modified onto the nanometer level over a standard PSP screen. the footage might be modded, but that's just software and that's why I asked you if you were really sure that game developers and Sony self, wont use this technology in the future

@ptuku: nope, they wont. the NGP has a regular 5" OLED multi-touch screen with tactile feedback, nothing 3D so they obviously didnt consider it for their next handheld

so you think that gamedevelopers and sony won't consider to use this?

No the 3DS is using a 3D screen developed by Sharp This is an attempt at a cost effective solution.

aw thisis what nintendo uses in 3DS isnt it? only problem is that only videos and homebrews could use a "modded" PSP like yours for displaying polarized content
