    I spoke to a guy from Saudi Arabia once. He said that people in northwest Africa (Marocco, Algeria, Tunesia etc.) speak very fast and that he can hardly can understand them because of that. He didn't mention there were different dialects or even languages there. However, I can imagine there are, as with every country that develops on its own. For instance, in german-speaking Switzerland they speak a dialect that is very different from german in Germany. Germans can hardly understand it!
