The Geeks here at Accessory Geeks pit the 3 latest and greatest smartphones against each other in another smartphone showdown. We do a comparison of the displays on the Samsung Epic, iPhone 4, and Droid X. Each display has its own distinguishing feature. The Droid X sports a huge 4.3 inch display. The Samsung Epic has a 4 inch, Super AMOLED display. Samsung's Super AMOLED display is available across the entire galaxy S line, on the Samsung Captivate, Samsung Vibrant, and the Samsung Fascinate. The iPhone 4 has its "Retina" display with a 640 x 960 resolution and an IPS display.

We found the Epic's Super AMOLED display to yield incredible saturated colors, with excellent contrast. By comparison, colors on the Droid X screen nearly looked washed out. The iPhone 4 exhibited the best sharpness, due to its high resolution display.

Accessory Geeks has iPhone 4, Droid X and Samsung Epic cases, screen protectors, chargers and more with free shipping in the US and Canada!

Fr a review like this you have to put your video camera on M-manual, so you can lock you exposure, shutter, white balance, aperture, etc...Oh wait, let me guess - you are using a consumer video camera to film this? That was your first mistake. If you are going to review something like "Displays", then make sure you know how to use a camera. This review is useless - every time he moves anything the exposure goes high then low over and over.

I agree. We could use a better camera and picture but the Amoled is a great screen, if not the best out in the market.

I watched this becaus the Epic is the same screen (type) as the Samsung Fascinate, and am between that and the Droid X. I like the ratio of the Droid but the actual screen (color) of the Fascinate.... Anyway overall, Droid X, or Samsung Fasciante?

lol the pics on the epic look like thy come from a cartoon thy not real colours, probably doesn't have 16million colours.

the blacks on the super amoled look fantastic, but the colors seem over saturated. they may look nice, but they probably aren't accurate. I think ill go with the X

I have a Super AMOLED display in my Samsung Wave, and I can attest to how awesome the display is. Its so obvious that everyone who uses my phone, even non tech nuts notice it right away. The Retina display is nice as well, I just love how the blacks looks on the Super AMOLED though.
