Kwibi grew up with Damian at his Howletts Wild Animal Park in England. When he was five, he was released into the forests of Gabon, West Africa as part of conservation programme to re-introduce gorillas back into the wild. Now Kwibi's 10 years old, much bigger and stronger. Will Damian find him? Will Kwibi attack him?

It is really upsetting to think, that in some countries, these amazing animals are being killed and still need our protection .

Dude, Dr. Paul Pearsall would argue that you are the one spreading the false information. May I suggest reading "The Heart Code" by Dr. Pearsall?

I'm not saying emotion stems from the heart, I literally just said the brain rationalizes feelings/emotions without the brain you wouldn't even know what you are feeling. The point is the body works as a unit and when you "feel" an emotion it's not just felt in the nerve endings emotions effect the entire body and every organ in it. Your physiology can change from emotion so in a way they are magical... damn you people are cynical LOL

@hcoman do you not understand the point of a metaphor? Or a joke?

gorillas are apes. and when u say hear it in the news all the time do you mean like once or twice? and again gorillas are apes. all gorillas are apes, not all apes are gorillas.

An ape congradufuckilations , first of all im sure sooner or later its gonna shred your face up, you see that shit in the news all the time.. And secondly this does not matter because an ape is nothing compared to a 10 year old male gorilla dumbass

Dude i don't know where are you getting this false information, but don't spread it to anyone else.Heart is muscle that pumps blood by contractions throughtout the vessels it has nothing to do with emotions.Emotions originate as distinctive patterns of nerve impulses, which also trigger neurochemical events. They aren't anything magical or special and for certain its not the heart that "translate" these impulses but brain,Feelings is just aftermath of contact with enviroment.
  16. nexiss21, at 04/24/2013 19:19, says:
As I said the brain rationalizes emotion it helps you understand what your feeling, but without the heart you wouldn't feel anything... It's like a word with no meaning saying sad and feeling sad are two very different things. Maybe I shouldn't waste my breath with a person giving someone else shit about their heart smiling LOL you obviously don't feel much.
  17. hcoman, at 04/24/2013 18:20, says:
I missed the point at which you provided evidence that the heart dictates emotion and not the brain.
  18. nexiss21, at 04/24/2013 18:53, says:
The heart is closely connected to all human emotion and while the brain helps us rationalize emotion they are not strictly tied to the brain. The electromagnetism emitted by the heart is 60 times stronger then that of the brain and permeates all cells in the body. When this person says it makes their heart smile, that emotion they are feeling is happiness. So Mr. Science wiz stop being a dick until you get your facts straight.
  19. hcoman, at 04/24/2013 12:38, says:
Your heart is an organ, incapable of smiling. Or showing emotion. Emotions come from the brain. The expressions makes no sense.

@Truvelocity, agreed. I guess the decision is between making an individual gorilla happy, or protecting the gorilla species as a whole. In his old digs, this gorilla will be happy enough that he can help his species by making more gorillas than he could in the natural setting. This, allowing for a long term population gain. No wild population of any species is dependent on a single male. Everybody wins. Saving a species is a marathon, not a sprint.
  24. truvelocity, at 04/20/2013 21:08, says:
Its a tough call. Because, they are endangered and getting them back in their habitat increases their numbers. At least, hopefully. So, what's the greater good? Being selfish and indulging in the responsibility of caring for them or letting them breed and have a family?
