- the videos helped me a lot and I was thankful. after replacing the color wheel..the lamp went out about a week later. I bought a never TV and haven't had any regrets.
- Thanks for your great instuctional Video on the Samsung color wheel replacement. At the end of the video 5 you mentioned you had to repeat this process several times to get it working. Can y please tell what cable didnt seat right?????? Your help would be appreciated as after installing a color wheel my tv wont light up. Thanks Gary garychristensenshow@gmail.com
- Kevin - thanks for the Post. THIS IS GREAT ADVICE FOR ALL TO REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE BACK COVER PRIOR TO TRYING TO TURN THE DLP ON..... THE DLP WILL NOT START IF THE BACK COVER IS NOT IN PLACE.

- Amazing directions!!! I only thought I could replace the color wheel on my own because I had your step by step videos. The only place where I hit a snag on was that the back has to be on (could even place it on with out the 14 screws) just 2 make sure things are working. The vent on the back is needed for the fan. If the back is not on, the fan has no place to vent to, and the lamp and color wheel do not start. This ends up with the "stand by/temp" light being on. Thank you very much again!
- did you have to remove anything to get to the jumper??? I just ordered my color wheel... also the fam I am talkiing about is the one on the right side in the big black housing.

- I'm not sure which fan you're talking about but if you go over the vidoes again hopefully you can see. There should be a connector somewhere on the board that is apparent.

- Just wanted to say "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" for the tutorial on replacing the color wheel ! I had my computer setting next to me as I watched your instructions at the same time I worked on my tv. Everything worked out perfect and the tv was the same model as mine, which made it very easy. I did have to pull the jumper after I had closed it up, but that was no problem. Thx for saving me $400+ in a service call. What I know now, I actually can replace the color wheel in less than 15 min. Thx again !

- Just replaced the color wheel on my Samsung DLP Model HLR5078W. The picture quality is as clear as it was the day i bought it. Thank you so much for posting this video, it was a lot of help. Note - the flat cable that comes from color wheel has to be put back as it was before with the silver side out. I had to correct that on my second atempt. Thanks again.
- I have never used a Youtube video before on a DIY project. This video series was awesome! Thank you! You did a great job. My results: shattered color wheel. Lamp was fine (but now I have a spare). First try turning on the TV, no picture. As I had suspected, I had the fiber cable from the color wheel reversed (the silver side was not put in to the connector side of the piece). Fixed that without having to take everything apart, and now I can get back to watching the olympics in my living room!
- Even after removing the jumper, I have not been able to get the color right. The black has a metallic look to it. I have tried calibrating it as best as I could. I'm guessing that I should have a pro come out and do it for me. Aside from that, its fine. Any suggestions?

- You are my HERO... One thing i didn't mention on my 1st comment did not have to take off the base after you took the fan off. I don't know if my TV is newer model. My color wheel was a snap to put on. Thanks for taking time doing time to video tape. I thought would be a challenge by watching your video. There was a few steps I didn't have to do. Maybe mine is a newer model? What model is yours? Is it necessary to remove jumper?My 5 year son thanks you as well. He can now watch his DVD.
- I just uploaded a video of my problem. Using your instructions I had the whole thing apart. My color wheel looks to be in better shape than yours did, but it does not spin at all like your broken one. I know you did not test the spinning of your new one. I don;t want to replace my color wheel if it is the ballast or something else...any thoughts after watching my video respons?
