I am 25, I have severe scoliosis and my lungs suck at being lungs. I also have an oxygen concentrator that I've lovingly named Gus, and I have slept with a BiPAP ever since I was 17. I just needed you to know how much your book has changed my life and even saved my life. Thank you John Green!

Hi guys, my name is Maggie and I know Hayley's passed away some time ago, but I thought John need to saw this, that Hayley deserve it, so I send this video to him, John finally saw this video, and here's he's reply about it: "Thanks for taking the time to write and for sharing Hayley's video. I've always believed that books are a conversation, so my part of it is only half of the work. It doesn't become real for me until others read it. Hayley was a great example of that." He saw it, Hayley...

"This book is mine..." This type of reaction captures, in such simple yet overwhelming power, the exact sentiment I hope I can inspire in readers someday when I start publishing my own writing. My work will likely not be as powerful as Green's was for you, but that statement of yours will hopefully echo in at least a few people's minds and hearts after finishing whatever book(s) I ever actually complete. Thanks for your passion and openness in all your videos.

@rockymarley Dear Hailey. I have done a lot of own research in the deeper cause of illnesses. My conclusion is that ('forgotten') traumatic events in early life can be a very important part of the cause of illness. I can give you some tips: Look for a therapist who is doing 'Holographic Memory Resolution' and/or 'BodyTalk system'. I wish you the power to go on and hope you will get better.

I (like so many others in this small world) fell in love with TFIOS. I doubt I have the same connection to the book as you do, but I still cannot fully explain my devotion to this book. It has completely, unconditionally changed the way I think about life, death and everything else. This is a manifest example of how much literacy can change our lives and what we live for. You're beautiful. This is beautiful. The Fault In Our Stars is beautiful. Beautiful. John Green MUST MUST MUST see this .

I can't say that I understand anything about your condition and how deeply you've connected with this book, but I just wanted you to know that I think you have the most beautiful smile. Smile as much as you can since it can make both you and the people around you happier!!!

Really great video. I love this book as well, and I'm sure you feel like John really gets you. This book isn't only a look at cancer kids, though, I think it's a look at humans as a whole. I've read it twice now and it's always amazing. God, it's a beautiful book. This is a really heartwarming video and it makes me extremely glad you found the book :D I shall let people know about this and hopefully it will get to John!

This book has given me a lot to think about with life and death and the purpose of life and relationships with everyone. It's amazing how this book has helped so many people in so many ways. John Green is a genius and my hero (I hate that word, but he really is, for this). I'm very glad this he has helped you too and you are fantastic for calling your oxygen concentrator Gus!

It literally, LITERALLY, saved your life. Reminded me of the "literal heart of Jesus" and made me giggle. You are a wonderful person. And I'm glad I'm not the only 22 year old reading this book and falling in love with it. DFTBA <3

Thanks for your concern about my condition, I really appreciate it. It's rough, but it's life, I've got it better than Hazel, so I feel fortunate about that. :)

You are an amazing and eloquent woman, and I really want to either high five or hug you (whichever works better for your personal bubble) for being able to put your connection to TFiOS into words in such a beautiful, thoughtful way. I really, really, really hope that he sees your video. :)

Thank you, everyone of you, for your wonderful words of encouragement! It means so much to me! I never expected my video to make an impact on anyone, really. I just needed to get out these feelings I had about this book and was hoping maybe John would see the video. He has email, but he does not respond to them, he even says this on his website, so I thought this was the only chance I had for him to hear me. Thanks again!!

Great video! Sorry about your scoliosis and your lungs. That sounds like a rough life. It's cool how much that book impacted you though. I'm sure it's helped other people as well and I hope your video does the same. I hope John Green finds this! Im sure he'd appreciate this video. I bet he has an email. You should try sending this to him if he hasn't already.
