- Ex2 plus .. I LOVED the music for this game
- --->>> FIREBALL
- HAAAAAH!
- hell no. SFIV is just hard to handle because it is a game made at first for competition i think.
- bad ass music for one of the most badass game of all times
- tri-ple bre-ak!!!
- SF EX >> ALL
- one other thing.. im glad i got to live thru the generation of real fighting games, kofs, sf and all the rest... the new gen does not appreciate
- street fighter third strike please dont forget that classic. but this game i will never forget till the day i die. one of the best themes ive ever heard..
- Imo, consider SF IV (3d) at the same level of SF2 (2d). They need to attract new gamers generation. We have to wait until they make a real competitive 3d game. In terms of 3d body skeleton complexity, they're good at it but they can make much better about overall 3d ingame design and animation. Just wait till they animate every muscles in 3d.
- ..cont to a three button all encompassing "L M H" style (taken with liberties from World heroes) and a launcher button (because people are too stupid/lazy to hold down and hit HP?). the games, while still finding popularity and are possible to be enjoyed, are jokes when compared to the titles preceding them. Even more so when you look at the amazing CVS2 vs SFXT.
- ...continued. SFIV is just a shallow attempted at stripping all complexity from from III and bringing the game into a strange hybrid between the super combo system from 3, a shallow replacement for the parry system from 3 that also acts as a stun, and the standard super combo system from super turbo. SFIV is a step back. It's popular, but it's a step back in terms of mechanics. MVC3 is even more of a step back. THey went from a four button system with a focus on aerial combos... cont.
- "They sucked and nobody gave a shit about them" you have no idea what you are rambling on about. GGXX is still the best in the series and one of the most balanced FGs, released in 2003. KOF 2002 is one of the largest rosters with a deep cancel system released in 2001. Tekken 5 is the most responsive and balanced title in it's series, released in 2004, SOulcalibur 2 and VF4 are both tied for best 3D fighters and were from the same era ... continued.
- Once again no? Are you in denial or somthing? Fighting games have never been bigger since the release of sf4. Maybe back in the early 90s, and in japan of course they were still popular. Im talking about western population though. In america fighting games were done till sf4 came out. They sucked and nobody gave a shit about them. Sf4 sold millions and brought tons of people to SRK and introduced them to the fighting game scene in general. Facts are facts dude
- But that's still only affecting capcom games. SFIV is what brought capcom and their series back into the mainstream, but it has done little to nothing for the genre as a whole (which never died... capcom are the only ones who bowed out.)
- Sf4 and Mvc3 are whats single handedly bringing the genre back. Ive gone to many Majors and BB, GG and VF get the absolute lowest turnouts. Much respect for those games, but sf4 is and will always rein as the best fighter out till the next installment. As for streams sf4 and Mvc3 get at the very least 15k viewers, and thats a low quality major. At big boy tourneys they break 20k even every time. Also how is it overblown if people love it? Its only been good for the fgc since its conception
- "Yet street fighter 4 is one the most popular games this generation, and brought fighting games back as a whole" outside of the people who were still playing SFIII at tournies, SFIV has pretty much dropped off the map when they started making updates to it for most people. as for bringing fighting games back as a whole, Guilty Gear, Tekken, VF, and KOF were still going before SFIV and even Blazblue 1 released before SFIV. SFIV is alright, but it's legacy is overblown.
- Yet street fighter 4 is one the most popular games this generation, and brought fighting games back as a whole. Lets not mention its balanced and very tournament worthy. EX was fun but lets be serious, it was broken as shit dude. And the guys that made Ex were sf2 only staff, alpha was completely different especially A3
- I feel like the company as a whole has always been somewhat greedy. It's just that they used to ripoff arcade owners in the day rather than consumers at home.
- Thanks for the infomation and Capcom was in their prime before 2005 before they got super greedy in the company
- It's because Arika, the company that made the EX games, were staffed by everyone who worked on SF II through alpha 3. the street fighter IV team were actually the Onimusha guys. Capcom makes poor decisions when it comes to staffing.
- your comment is a bit old.. but in my opinion i agree with you but sadly many don't feel that way :(..
- yeah agree johnguest best OST as ever, awesome !
- Aaaaah, this game had one of the best soundtracks, like, evar!!!
