An interesting phenomenon I stumbled upon recently.

Hope you find it as fascinating as me.

If there are any mathematicians in the audience who can explain this,
(in a simple way) feel free to comment.

(Oh, and yes, I returned the voice to Professor Hawking, but he left me a copy ;)
...ok, I made it with speakonia :) )

Also I made a large rendering of the pattern available for download here:
http://en.file-upload.net/download-7027590/Ulam_large.zip.html
(It is the smallest download button on the page...,
and please let me know when the link expired.)
Could be a nice poster :) as suggested by user bobbooty.

just another application of sacred geometry. but very interesting. After downloading the image, looking at it I suddenly realize that it kinda looks like a svastika pattern. imperfect, but symetrical enough.

erh. all prime numbers except 2 are not even, because all even numbers are divisible by 2.

somebody told me prime numbers are not even, i told them that's total bullshit!

It's just a 10000x10000 pixel image in Tiff-format that in turned is compressed with Zip. As the publisher said, the lossless nature of this format make the image bigger than your average jpg-image. Not all computers have software for displaying tiff-images. It's a beautiful image @morn1415

So I hope this is clarified, or was it just trolling? Whats next? Do you want to insult my work for free by spreading fear and making other people worried? Because... Oh, I see. You already did below...

Staggering? In the office I deal with pics several hundreds of MB... It is a lossless LZW compressed TIFF. To have top quality here. Someone asked me for a larger wall print. What should I use instead? Jpg? I hate lossy formats. I know nowadays people dont care, they steal some video or pic, compress it in a lossy way to a tiny size, are happy it is so small and upload it again. (They have to be blind too, only explanation...)

Did you download 36.1 MB of compressed data that was supposed to be an image of the pattern in the video? Only there was no image? Now that IS worrying

Um. How is an image a staggering 36.1 MB?? Bit worried at what I have just downloaded. :/

After seeing that "graph" at the end of the video, I'd like to see the negative, Or better yet just prime numbers displayed (I can imagine the spiral)

Did you happen to find the code/ formula? I'd love to mess with this in 3d.

Prime numbers actually spell out structural building block logic (DNA sequencing). I demonstrate this in a video on my channel called Universal Math. I also demonstrate this in the video The Systemic Logic of Natural (Universal) Order. Watch this video all the way through and if you have questions about it, please feel free to leave them in the comments section.

Just a hunch, but I would be willing to bet that the universe,as seen from the outside would display a similar pattern, with a strange attractor at the center.
