    They started off as a hardcore punk band and they were all about exploring music and always had the punk sensibilities. They would have hated like Coldplay, a band that only make music to sell lots of albums and make money, they were everything the beastie boys weren't and being punk fans most probably hated. They wrote fight for your right to take the piss out of popular songs then, which just makes this cover even worse. Coldplay covering a song satirizing bands like them.
