You can handicap yourself for "fun" as much as you want, but that doesn't mean that the game is suddenly varied. There're champions, especially the old ones, that were made around some niche - TF, Fid, Heimer. Some of those are too quirky to be picked up, because their niche is too easy to counter, while some will always be strong because they are the only ones with such an ability. League needs more champions like that, but it's only getting generic bruisers and mages with no niche whatsoever.

10 vs 10 would be a great map. 2 Teams vs 2 Teams. Both teams will have to grow up in their own way, and late they can start the team fights as 10 vs 10. A large map, a random jungle, no one will know where the wolves / wraiths / golems spawn, so everything is harder but awesome. A way to combine items, like Trinity Force, but make your owns, just imagine to combine Bloodthirster with Infinity Edge and so on. 1-2 Hours matches, just imagine that. And higher level, not 18, more skill ranks.
