I had a wonderful time, shed many tears, and was truly enlightened by my experience with the Michiana Humane Society. There are Humane Society shelters and organizations all over, and likely one near you. Please consider volunteering your time, money, or adopting one of the wonderful animals from this organization. Awesome video, the Philantropy for my sorority is the Humane Society ;-) we recently had an adoption fair and family day at our school. Im glad we took part in finding homes for the abused animals.

most awesome P4A. No offense, but all the project for awesome videos, this one hits home. I personally have 2 rescued cats, 1 came from an abusive POS that killed his mother cause she wouldn't stop meowing, and the other came from my sister who found her with a broken leg and tail. These 2 cats did nothing wrong, but it took them 6 years 2 finally warm up 2 me. They knew i wouldn't hurt them anymore. God bless u James, and fuck you 11 thumbs downers! Maybe we should abuse u like u abuse animals!

@Dayo(and any others sharing his view) it is easy to look at a static number on a paper and make a judgement but here is a fact, no matter how many animals they are forced to put down to to overcrowding and lack of funds, which is really the only reason they would, they save more animals lives than you have. So take a minute from looking down your nose and look at your life, there is stuff you should worry about fixing there first.

@Dayo ...those numbers, if true, would be very misleading because of the sheer number of animals the humane society take it each year. the only number that would come close to being accurate would be comparing percentages, how many animals in versus how many killed, then to be fair you would also wanna contrast that with what percentage of those same animals they take in are saved. (Either by being adopted out or saved from abusive/certain death scenarios.)

we adopted out dog Tani from the Rockford shelter she is a rotten/ retriever, we got out rat terrier MIA from pet land, she was all sorts of messed up, i think pet land gets their animals form puppy mills.
