Hi Shin Akuma. I'm sorry, but my main character is Claw. However, I have one alt who use fireballs, and I can give you at least a piece of advice : winning against 'Gief is all about zoning. You must learn to zone him without getting predictable (mixing fireballs and long ranged pokes), and hitconfirm quickly once you managed to put him into your vortex. On block, evade as quickly as possible, as mashed SPD can beat any frame trap > to 2 frames within 1.6 range. Good luck man. =p

Being confronted to aggressive Giefs, to me it's as much zoning than pure footsies. The key thing being not to stay or try unsafe things whithin SPD range (which is the same as sLK). If you can prevent him to get within that range, by poking or anti-airing him, then you will see it's the Giefs who will find it difficult. =)
