so far Nook looks liek the best device out there for simple reading. It's not acting on something, no audio jack, no colors, jsut a e-book

Why use an online service? Many open source programs do it better.. and free!

I did. Secondly, my comment was posted 3 months ago (so your effort is futile), and i already bought Kindle3. PDF reading is the worst aspect of ANY tablet and unfortunately, the only solution is to convert PDF to MOBI using on-line services.

She mentions the scaling of text in PDF's and how the readers handle them from 10:56 onwards. The nook can rescale the text at the expense of the layout, but you can't pinch and zoom to move around the page...whereas you can with Kindle. Neither displays PDF in landscape mode...at least at the time of the review. Did you watch the whole thing?

She mentions it briefly towards the end of the video...no exact numbers available or anything, but she mentions that Amazon have more non-public domain selection, but the pricing and selection is pretty close on both.

i know. this really isn't the best review. There's a lot more to talk about. It's just a matter of finding out elsewhere now.

I wish she expounded much more in detail about the difference between Amazon books and Kindle books. I know all about the physical features, but doesn't Amazon have a wider range of books than BandN?

All the reviewers focus on 'content you can buy'... What about quality of pdfs, txt files and html files i can put there myself? what about the ability to scale text in pdfs? I have no intention to buy books from either vendors - i have enough of pdfs online i have to read, that i have something to read for another 10 years :)
