Rovio anunció el pasado martes la disponibilidad de su último juego, Angry Birds Rio, en plataformas iOS, Mac y Android. En este momento,ya puede descargarse el juego en la App Store para iPhone, iPod Touch y iPad, y en la Mac App Store para ordenadores Macintosh. El juego se ha diseñado junto con la Twentieth Century Fox e incluye a las estrellas de animación de la próxima película de estos estudios, RIO, que se estrenará en los cines el 8 de abril de 2011. El juego se lanzó oficialmente en Río de Janeiro durante el estreno mundial de RIO.
Para apoyar el lanzamiento, Rovio y la Twentieth Century Fox han estrenado un vídeo nuevo en el que aparecen los Angry Birds y Nigel, la malvada cacatúa de RIO
