The church needs to take a middle ground: not to be in favor of gay marriage but not to condemn gays. Quite a few churches will pray for sexually unpure people who have had sex before marriage but will see gays as greater sinners -we are all sinners-. I hate seeing people with banners saying "God hates gays", he does not, he loves you no matter what. I don't think they are true believers, they are just looking for a way to be homophobic. The church shouldn't be homophobic.
