I was involved in an accident just like that. A drunk driver was going the wrong way on the highway. I spent 4+ months in the hospital. Recently had my fourth operation. My insurance company, State Farm Inurance, denined my claim for medical as I am a veteran and they wanted the VA to take care of me. Thanks for nothing State Farm.
