yeah i think he has rotation lock on. The homescreen only has portrait which is why thats in portrait while the rest is in landscape.

With a custom rom such as the new REM Ice cream sandwich rom, yes. It can be overclocked up to 1.4 ghz (will drain battery a bit faster though) for extra speed. Look up rem ics and you will see what I mean. The only downside is a rather crappy camera.
