    You have to remember that Hudson did not come from Broadway while Holliday did. You know Broadway right? Very dramatic? Very larger than life? That's how Holliday is. She said she doesn't look in a mirror when she sings to see if she looks pretty while singing. She goes on stage and sings in the emotion and passion of the song. This song needs a lot of drama and passion and raw emotion because the lyrics are asking for that. Hudson was great. But Holliday knows how to emote this song better.

    Did you see Ms Holiday live? I did. Words cannot express......If they had not added a bit at the end of her song - the audience would have, literally, applauded through the entire intermission. We did not LISTEN to Ms. Holiday - we felt her. 21 years old - LIVE. Give her the respect she deserves. Ms. Hudson can sing but her voice just does not have the richness and fullness that Ms. Holliday had. Hs. Hudson sounds a little "tinny" - good, but tinny.
