The U.S. government is trying to pass the Protect-IP act, SOPA, E-Parasite act which limits free speech, and takes control away from the people and gives it to big studios and the government, and could lead to the outlaw of Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and more. Please sign petitions, write your congressman, and get this bill shut down.

Send petition to congress to STOP the Protect-IP Bill: http://act.demandprogress.org/sign/pipa_house/

The people who down-rated this video? Who are they? Enemies of reason, freedom and individual rights. How is that possible?

This is probably the smartest thing i'v heard... Private message me about this, i'd like to speak maybe actually touch on this topic with you on skype? duel commentary? In my opinion we can get all the anonymous members to help hack into a government website and have in the html coding some kind of copyrighted name in it, this way the government will be held responsible!

Considering these laws are STILL coming, what if someone figured out how to upload infringing material on a government website. The government, according to this, would have to shut down their own websites. XD

the fun thing is that in this very law the us government wanted to give itself jurisdiction in all country's even if the government of that government didnt want that

2:32 That is an amusing term, "mediocre movie". That is the thing with not enough competition. The big movie companies would not have to work as hard to make better movies. The veiwers would suffer. The only thing I find really annoying about recent movies is the bloat of unorigionality. There are adaptations, remakes, sequals, reboots, etc. The only thing I really like is the adaptation of the novels I love. Even I have a lot more origionality, and I don't have a risk on the internet.

Success storys like that are a great inspiration. I like the idea that anyone can share thier creativity to the world useing the internet. I hope to share my drawings and writings online someday. SOPA could kill the dream. It will be much harder to share to a wide audience if hosting sites are killed off like that. It is seriously unfair the site owners, because they didn't comit copyright infringement. Being shut down compleatly over one violation is too severe.

This is very disturbing. SOPA is so extream that it is wrong. I was thinking that the big media companies are just pigs, that try to get as much money off of comunication as they can. It is even worse when they use copyright as a facade for controling the internet and wiping out competition. Reducing competion is a serious harm on the economy and on freedom. What about Justin Bieber and E. L. James? Both are hugely succesful now, but they started out on the internet.

i think that this bill being publicly killed (in bloody fashion in town square) would force the studios to put real effort into every project they would choose to do. and of course the t.v. networks would have to follow suit or flounder. Make them earn that hard dollar that used to just roll in. In which case Firefly would not have died in vain. a martyr yes, but avenged in the end. but we can only hope.

This is too true. America is too far corrupted. Whenever a bunch of countries do somthing secret, and america isn't included, they take that as a threat (not the common people you guys rule) Just like in the cold war. the soviet union was a bit corrupt but they were often doing stuff with korea . America took that as a threat for two reasons: One they were both communists(americans+communists=hate) and because they didnt include america! Btw i live in australia so :P. I hope you understand.

Hey Jeremy, I know this vid is like 3 years old but I recently read an article that the television and cable companies are getting worried because A LOT of people are dropping their cable companies or "cutting the cord" because the bills are way too high and you can better stuff online LEGALLY. Like I cut my cable a YEAR ago and I only pay $30 a month for my entertainment.

Why can't any one in our Administration, any of our Senators, or any one of our Representatives keep their Oath of Office to support and protect our Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic, instead of being the enemies of our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, our Freedoms, and our Human Rights ?
