My same eye turns inward like yours, and I got the surgery yesterday. I know how you felt about having low confidence, I've felt like that all my life. Hopefully this surgery changes my confidence for the better.

I have seen your befor and after and I am amazed. I was born with no optic nerve in my left eye and it allways looks at my knose when I am looking straight. When I do look at things around me my blind eye does follow to a point. I know too well your story and your video gives me some hope. I am hurting yet I have to put on a fake me when I leave in the morning. I am going to look into this and pray it can help me straighten out.

I have a sister who have the same case as your, we are in the process of saving money to let her get eye surgery. I was blessed by the journey you are taking, you are a brave and smart woman, definitely deserve the best. May God continually bless you.

My 4 year old daughter was just diagnosed with strabismus this past Tuesday :( She is far sighted as well with her vision at 20/60.I noticed her right eye kept turning and she would look at two things at once, and could not focus her right eye.I'm knew to this but her doctor said she would not need surgery but will wear glasses for the rest of her life. Can you please give me a little info on this, thank you for your time..God bless

Meagan, I understand and know how painful it can be having people pick out your differiences, it's not a flaw. I had my surgeries (5 of them) when I was a teen and was told they had to wait until they knew that I had stopped growing before they made the corrections. It was nice finally being to lay the glasses aside and fit in with everyone else. Take care of your eyes because straining them can actually cause these same types of issues to crop up later in life.

I'm sixteen years old. My whole life I had to deal with people making comments and talking about me. Being in high school it got really bad. I have had 2 other surgery my last one was when I was 6. Now 10 years later my doctor gave me the option to do the surgery I had be longing for. No more dealing with embarrassment, I could just be me. I got the surgery 4 days ago, it isn't very painful, feels as if your head hurts. But if your pondering it, go for it.

I've had strabismus surgery 5 months ago and the doctors say surgery was a success. But the alignment isn't perfect, i went to see two doctors and after every single examination they said that there's no sign of strabismus. When i look in a mirror i still have crossed eyes. Could it be that my brain still needs more time to adjust to my new eye? I really need normal eyes. For me it's either normal life with normal eyes or no life at all...

Ive had Strabismus my entire life and never got teased about it. Some people did notice it but I was amazed that some people never did. My eyes were 40 degrees WIDE. When I told one girl I've known for 5 years that I had surgery the other day she said she never noticed that I kneeded it. But I had a date last year and that girl noticed it right off that bat. One girlfriend of mine said she thought it was *endearing* hahaha but I had it done anyway because Ive been wanting to for 40 years.

My daughter has esotropia and I loved that you did your blog! I am see a specialist right now and she is 1 and a half. Her prisms fix it but I will be opting for surgery as soon as the specialist says okay. You helped me see how important that will be for her self confidence. I will tell her about you one day
