Als der junge Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) einer Hexe (Eva Green) das Herz bricht, verflucht diese ihn zum ewigen Untod und begräbt ihn anschließend. 200 Jahre später wird Barnabas befreit und kehrt zu seinem Anwesen zurück.
