Today's tip: Always look to SCORE! It's one thing to want to score, but you have to have the mentality that you are going to score and that you're going to make it happen for yourself. To be a great offensive player, you need to aggressively attack the basket and think "score first." When you do this, you not only open up shots for yourself, but also for your teammates. That's because you will draw defenders off of them and onto you, which will leave them open for an even better look than the one you were trying to create. At that point, you simply have to deliver the ball to them and get ready for the next time down the court!

oh I c, so it is a matter of, keeping an eye out for open lanes, open men, in what way your mismatched. In a list of priorities scoring is number 1.
  8. 5KnuckleShuffle94, at 12/21/2012 18:55, says:
I have a video request. How do you drive through the lane and 1. get in aggressively. 2. not get it stolen. 3. Make the right decisions in scoring. i.e will I have to do a floater, or will I somehow be able to get right to the rim?
  9. Shot Science Basketball, at 12/21/2012 15:02, says:
We agree with your assessment, BUT we believe that every player needs to look to score if it is available. If you do not have this "mind-set" opportunities may be lost because of indecision! Thanks for your comment.
  10. playinballin2012, at 12/21/2012 04:47, says:
I disagree with this video, looking to score every-time you touch touch the ball, IS HOPING. Being aware of your surrounds before your touch, will lead to proper assessment, of whether or not you should pass it off to live another day, assist, drive or shoot.

  19. Shot Science Basketball, at 03/14/2012 17:38, says:
Every player should have this mind set! Coaches often will direct you as a point guard about what they want you to do, HOWEVER if you can score they will not turn their head on that one! Scoring is what the game is all about and every coach wants guys who can score.
  20. AznJohnyBoy, at 03/14/2012 02:29, says:
Should you have this mentality if you're a point guard? If not then what?
