Before we use an effect in a movie, we need to test it first! This is a compilation of some of the effects we've been working on! Created with a variety of programs, including 3DS Max, After Effects, Rayfire, Fume FX, and more.

While we haven't been able to incorporate all these effects into our films yet, bits and pieces of them have made it in. Rayfire is one of our favorite plugins, since it's awesome to have giant structures crumbling and falling over.

What effects do you guys think work best, or would like to see more of?

You can buy a single copy, After Effects runs about 600 dollars I think. Student versions are much cheaper, but you have to prove that you'll be using it for college studies. Other than that, business licenses or illegal downloads are your only other options.

Because it's made for professionals who do this for a living. And most of those people have money. In fact, most of the people who developed software like this are in the gaming or movie industry, and they needed better 3D programs so they went ahead and designed them themselves.

You're going to need some kind of 3D program like 3DSmax, Rayfire, or Cinema 4D, in order to get the crumbling effects and the advanced debris effects. Blender is a free option, but I'm not sure how compatible is is with AE.

I want them to do a video on wall, ceiling and floor effects. Like the blackhole effect, the wall destruction effect (or whatever it's called) at the start and the roof crumbling effect at 0:30.
