The Fed Express breaks down after losing the 2009 Australian open to Rafael Nadal and the chance to win his 14th Grand Slam to equal the great Pete Sampras. What a pair of absolute champions. What great respect Nadal showed as he walked up the steps tapping Roger on the leg. 2 legends on and off the court. If you ever wanted your children to emulate anyone, it would have to be these guys.

I am a huge Nadal fan, been so for about 9 years now, but it's really hard to see Roger cry like this, I think we all know how hard it is to refrain your tears when you really feel so desperate to just let go and cry!! I will always love to see a match between these two, I have so much respect for them and Roger is simply one of the best, amazing man! And I didn't want to bring him in, but I really think Novak has nothing to do as no.1 right now, he's too loud, clownish and unsportsmanlike...

who care, Murray's crying by 2010 AO and 2012 Wim. (both Roger's champ)

4:01 Showing off is done, rivalry is thrown aside and the true friendship of these two rivals is shown. I'm a Federer fan but my goodness i love Rafa's sportsmanship!!

if he had won this tournament he would of had more confidence going into every other major and he probably wouldnt of lost to del potro, completing the grand slam

You can say what you want about Federer, but this video is proof of how bad this man wants to win, more than anyone, hes crying like a baby look at him. This was probably the only year he would of been able to win all 4 majors in the same year and rafa fucked him up. Fed knew he was slowing down in 09, he already won 5 us opens in a row and 5 wimbledons in a row

@shellbsd23 I think at the time Roger as you said probably thought he had final faced someone who he couldn't beat and was going to overtake him in the GS's funny though how after this defeat Roger almost won the 4 slams in a row , won the French for the first time , Wimbledon for the 6th , losing in the final to a freakish tournament by Del Potro and winning the Australian Open the next year and he did beat Nadal in Madrid in 2009 in straight sets, seems this defeat did wonders for the king:)

nadal ruined his own presentation. he should have spoken english
  13. shellbsd23, at 03/17/2013 02:14, says:
i think this is the moment that he realized that he is not the greatest tennis player of alltime anymore. someone beat him when he was playing at his best. someone is better than him in their matchup and thats nadal.

You can see that even when Nadal is raising the trophy, Federer is still emotionally shocked up. It's only when Nadal, not as a competitor but as friend, holds and comforts him that Federer puts himself together again.

    impresive!!!!
  21. VAN KAP, at 02/09/2013 04:47, says:
i might get a lot of hate for saying this but even though federer got emotional i think he sort of ruined nadal's presentation moment as you can see nadal was kinda of down after federer broke into tears. nadal is just too humble and kind to treat fed with respect lol
  22. VAN KAP, at 02/09/2013 04:51, says:
both are the greatest of all times. not one is better than the other

4:05 one of the rarest moments where you can see they are good friends of eachother as mentioned by both of them through out interviews. Get this to the top people :D

I miss epic finals between these two great champions . after this match I thought there would be more classic finals with the rivalry hitting its peak in 2009, but then Rafa didn't even defend his WImbledon title after such a historic final, which was so surreal and such a shame. Nadal was the nearest challenger to prevent Federer breaking the 14 Grand Slam record and I'm sure Roger would have wanted to beat the best to get there.
